Meet the HOSTies: FickleFaerie

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am an Etsy addict. I love to sew and to do my part for the environment so Etsy was the place to make a little bit of money doing what I love.
I am a wife and mother to 3 grown daughters.

If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be?
Cats, cats and more cats

Fruit or chocolate?
How about strawberries dipped in melted chocolate. That way it sounds like I picked the healthy choice.

Your favorite meal?
Homemade Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

City break or weekend in the country?
If I had my choice right now, I would be off to the city, I have had enough of the country

Why did you join/donate to HOST?
I joined HOST when it first began 3 Christmas's ago. I met a whole bunch of friendly, generous friends during that time and loved the idea of helping others in whatever small way I could.

How did you first get interested in what you do?
I have always loved to sew but the eco part of my sewing came about through one of my daughters who is very "Earthy"

Tell us about your shop.
I sell eco-friendly produce bags as my main staple and I am slowly getting into reusable pouches for litter less lunches. I have so many eco-friendly ideas swimming around in my head but never enough time to take them to the cutting table.

What do you love most about selling on Etsy?
I love the excitement of the sale more then the money. Really, I can't wait to get up in the morning and check to see if I have a sale. It makes my day to know that something I am creating, is loved by others.

Where else can we find you? (Facebook, blog, twitter, flickr, etc)
I have Facebook, twitter and a sadly neglected blog. I have been negligent on all 3 lately but I am trying to find the time to get back to them.

Any advice you would like to share with others that might read this?
Just do what you love but do LOTS of it. I can't tell you how important it is to fill your store up with products that fit in a theme. Don't be willynilly and just make random stuff. You want your shop to look professional not like a yard or craft sale table.

I feel kinda offended by that "willynilly" comment as not all shops that have mixed items look like yard sales. A craft sale is a whole different thing.

Other than that great post.
